Blaise Pascal

Blaise Pascal (1623–1662) was a French Catholic mathematician, scientist, and philosopher. He made significant contributions to the studies of probability and barometric pressure and was also one of the first to invent a mechanical calculator. Pascal is best remembered today for his Christian apologia, the Pensées.
